AI Video Platforms and CHeKT Monitoring in Tulsa
Cameras That Understand What They See
Traditional cameras give you footage after the damage is done. AI video platforms flag a threat as it unfolds, filter out the false alarms that waste your time, and turn hours of video into answers you can use. Tulsa Surveillance Technologies partners with four of these platforms, Scylla, Evolon, CHeKT, and Camio, and designs, installs, and supports them across Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, and the surrounding area, working with the cameras you already own wherever possible.
Each platform does a different job, and the right one depends on what you need your cameras to catch. The four are described below, followed by a construction site deployment that shows what live monitoring looks like in practice.
The Four Platforms
Scylla: Detection That Sees What Matters
Scylla uses advanced vision and language AI to recognize specific events on camera with a high degree of accuracy. We have quoted it for face detection, fight detection, gun detection, and wildfire detection, and the platform goes well beyond those, from perimeter intrusion to slip and fall alerts. It fits schools, churches, retail, healthcare, and industrial sites, anywhere seconds matter.
Evolon: Long Range Detection With Live Eyes
Evolon’s AI detects people and vehicles at long distances, across the large lots, yards, and perimeters that ordinary motion alerts cannot cover. When something is detected, live video monitoring puts a trained operator on it to verify and respond in real time. It suits construction sites, car lots, storage facilities, warehouses, and large open properties.
CHeKT: Cameras That Stand Guard
CHeKT turns your cameras into an armed system. The areas you choose are armed on a schedule, and when someone enters a protected zone the event goes to live video monitoring for verification and response. The CHeKT Bridge works with any trigger device, alarm panel, or camera system, so it integrates with what you already have. It is built for after-hours protection of businesses, gated properties, and multi-location operations.
Camio: Business Insights From Your Video
Camio uses vision AI to turn everyday camera footage into information you can act on. Instead of scrubbing through hours of recordings, you can search your video, get alerts on the events you care about, and see how your space is really being used. It suits retail, restaurants, offices, fitness studios, and multi-site owners who want more from their cameras than evidence.
A Construction Site, Solar Trailers, and CHeKT
A national home builder came to Tulsa Surveillance Technologies with overnight thefts of materials and equipment from job sites that had no fencing, no power, and no internet. Conventional cameras and alarms were not feasible without that infrastructure. The deployment was mobile solar-powered surveillance trailers, each with four cameras, an outdoor IP speaker, and the CHeKT Bridge, placed at the high-risk sites and programmed to detect motion.
When a trailer detected an intrusion, the system triggered an alarm and sent live video to a 24-hour monitoring center. Within seconds an operator could assess the scene, issue an audio warning over the speaker, activate lights, or dispatch law enforcement with a priority response, and the CHeKT VerifySMS feature let the construction manager see the event and weigh in. The setup was quick, cost-effective, and expandable to larger sites as the builder’s needs changed. The construction site page and the solar camera page cover the equipment side.
Questions
AI Platform Questions
Do AI platforms work with the cameras I already have?
Often, yes. Several platforms run on ordinary IP cameras, and CHeKT in particular works with any trigger device, alarm panel, or camera system. The walk confirms compatibility position by position.
What happens when the AI detects something?
It depends on the platform. CHeKT and Evolon send the event to live video monitoring, where an operator verifies it, can issue an audio warning or turn on lights, and can dispatch police. Scylla and Camio send alerts and searchable events to you.
Is there a monthly cost?
Yes, for the platform and for monitoring where it is included. The amount depends on the platform and the number of cameras, and it is stated on the quote.
